This is a bundle of 20 Mental Math Starters WITH AUTOMATIC TIMER- 10 questions + Answers (13 slides for each presentation). These are perfect for building core number skills, confidence, and charting progress.
These are also FOCUSED ON small COMMON MISTAKES, such as 2 to the power of 3 = 8, not 6 etc or roots … as well as building knowledge of math keywords, number properties and the obvious improving mental mathematical skills.
These work really well with the less able pupils. However, the top sets also like them, because you can speed up how long they have and they become highly competitive. These are excellent to help engage pupils at the start of the lesson and would be useful for classes that struggle to get settled at the beginning.
